I liked this sight glass because I can screw a thermometer in-line. This was my first kettle modification so I watched several uTube videos and got some good tips. It went smooth and was easier than I expected. I installed this sight glass and a ball valve. I bought a $30. step drill bit from Home Depot for the project. Total cost of the upgrade >$100.
